Our solution:

Cultivating plant material from tissue culture is a complex and delicate process. If the growing conditions are not ideal, the success rate can decline significantly. For Iribov, we therefore precisely determined the climate and growing conditions required at plant level. This included all relevant factors – such as light spectrum, intensity, climate, air movement and velocity, dehumidification and humidification. The result was a flexible, broadly applicable solution, perfectly suited to their situation in which a wide variety of species are cultivated.

Maximum results with specific recipe per table and per species

The vertical farm at Iribov accommodates a wide range of species and cultivars at any given time. Each table in the system is assigned a tailored recipe upon entry – specific to the species, or combination of species, on that table. Based on this, the tables are misted at defined intervals, ensuring the plants receive exactly what they need at the right moment. Because we used irrigation booms in this vertical farm for precise humidification, combined with a carefully calibrated climate, Iribov is unlocking the full potential of their young plants.

Successful for over four years

The vertical farm at Iribov has been running for over four years without the need for major maintenance or adjustments. By continuously monitoring the results from this vertical farm, we’ve been able to implement a range of optimisations, which are also being used now in new projects.
