Voor Van Paassen Chrysanten realiseerde Green Simplicity een volledig geïntegreerde chrysanten opkweekruimte, gericht op maximale controle over het teeltproces en een uniforme ontwikkeling van het gewas.

The challenge: een hogere uniformiteit, meer controle en groeikracht 

During the seedling stage, it’s all about control. Variations in temperature, humidity, light, and watering have a direct impact on crop development.

When these factors are not properly balanced or fluctuate significantly, variations in growth and quality occur. Especially in a multi-tiered growing environment, this requires a system that goes beyond traditional greenhouse setups.

The challenge, therefore, was to create an environment in which all growth factors could be precisely controlled simultaneously at the plant level.

When the environmental conditions surrounding the plant are ideal throughout the entire propagation phase, the plant can process more light and thus build up more dry matter. This ensures that the plant has the vigor to continue growing uniformly during the subsequent cultivation phase, and this is where the grower reaps the greatest benefits. Less loss, higher production, and a more uniform end product. It goes beyond standard greenhouse systems and truly controls at the plant level.

Our solution: a single integrated cultivation system

Green Simplicity has developed this grow room as a single integrated system in which all the technical components are interconnected and work together.

This system combines the following components, among others:

• Climate control, heat pumps, and air distribution 

• LED lighting tailored to the growth stage

• Plant-level irrigation and humidification in collaboration with H.T. Verboom en Stolze

• Intern transport en handling van containers in samenwerking met H.T. Verboom

• Centralized control and software

This integration creates an environment in which the focus is not only on individual components, but on the entire cultivation process.

A managed process

The cultivation process is fully tailored to the crop’s various growth stages.

After the cuttings are planted, the crop first goes through the rooting phase under specific climate and light conditions. It is then automatically moved to the next phase, where the crop continues to develop and is hardened off.

During this process, all parameters are continuously adjusted based on the plant’s needs. This approach results in a controlled and reproducible cultivation process.

Integrating all these technologies creates a stable and predictable environment.

Collaboration GreenV

Dit project is gerealiseerd in nauwe samenwerking met partners binnen GreenV, waarbij iedere partij zijn eigen expertise heeft ingebracht.

Green Simplicity has taken the lead on the overall concept and the integration of all technologies into a single functioning system.

Stolze was responsible for the irrigation units and the water management system, which controls the water supply and nutrient delivery within the system. In addition, Stolze built the control panels for the LED lighting and integrated them with the climate control computer. 

HT Verboom heeft de volledige installatie en het interne transportsysteem en de bijbehorende automatisering verzorgd. Dit systeem zorgt ervoor dat containers automatisch door de verschillende teeltfases bewegen. Daarnaast is de volledige aansturing van het systeem ondergebracht in de software van HT Verboom, waarin klimaat, irrigatie, logistiek en belichting samen worden aangestuurd.

Through this collaboration, all components work together seamlessly, creating a single integrated process in which climate control, irrigation, logistics, and management are all coordinated.
