Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer, you are the technical link between the customer and the solution. You know how to translate customer requirements into well-thought-out and complete cultivation systems that combine lighting, climate control, irrigation, and automation. During the calculation phase, you provide clear proposals and advice that are in line with practical reality, combining your technical knowledge with customer focus.

Will you be our technical connection between customer requirements and innovative (indoor) cultivation systems?

At Green Simplicity, we develop smart, sustainable solutions for indoor and vertical farming. Our systems combine lighting, climate control, irrigation, and automation into one perfectly coordinated system. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Lead Engineer who oversees technology, coordinates colleagues, and ensures that our systems are accurate down to the last detail.

What's the job about?

As a Sales Engineer, you are a crucial link within our organization. You:

  • Collects and analyzes customer needs and translates them into technical proposals
  • Performs pre-engineering, prepares accurate cost calculations, and is responsible for preparing quotations
  • Negotiates technical solutions with customers and works closely with the sales team
  • Ensures the transfer of sales documentation to our operations department
  • Optimizes our sales processes and actively contributes ideas on cost control and risk analysis.
  • Coordinates multiscope projects within GreenV and liaises with sales engineers from other GreenV companies.
  • In short: you are responsible for the technical and commercial quality of the quotation process.

What do you bring to the table?

  • HBO degree in a technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering) or MBO with extensive experience and HBO-level thinking skills
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in a technical environment is an advantage.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, and preferably knowledge of climate technology
  • You know how to involve customers in technical choices and always think one step ahead.
  • You are independent, accurate, and a true team player.
