Flexibility is a priority for Wageningen University: how do you design a research setup that can be quickly installed and immediately used for various experiments? At the same time, the system needed to be scalable and suitable for use at multiple locations. To address this, Green Simplicity developed a modular solution featuring mobile climate chambers that are easy to deploy and adapt.
The request from Wageningen University
In research, requirements are constantly changing. Experiments are modified, relocated, or expanded. A fixed setup doesn’t always accommodate these changes. That’s why there was a need for a solution that isn’t tied to a single location, but rather adapts to the research activities.
For Wageningen University, this meant a system that could be up and running quickly, without complex construction or lengthy installation processes. At the same time, control over the growing conditions had to be maintained to ensure the quality of the research.

Mobile climate chambers
Green Simplicity has created a configuration of five 20-foot mobile climate chambers that can be used either individually or in combination. The units are designed so that they can be easily placed side by side to form a single functional research setup.
Because each cell operates independently, multiple experiments can run simultaneously, each with its own settings for climate, light, and other growth factors. The system can be set up quickly and is just as easy to move to another location.
