About Gitzels
Gitzels is a specialized plant nursery that focuses on brassica crops (cabbage crops). The company has built up years of expertise in the cultivation of this crop group and now uses their knowledge to support external parties with professional trial tests and research facilities.
The solution:
Green Simplicity realised an advanced production and research module consisting of one climate cell with four large racks. The stand-alone cooling system works completely independently and is equipped with Green Simplicity software that seamlessly integrates with Rijk Zwaan's existing systems. This setup offers optimal use of space and maximum flexibility for both cultivation activities and conducting research and plant tests.
Green Simplicity realized two advanced climate cells specially designed for trial tests or breeding services of Gitzels Plantenkwekerij. The first climate cell functions as a standard research facility, while the second is fully equipped as a clean department. This clean department meets strict safety protocols and offers a controlled environment where sensitive cultivation tests can be performed without the risk of cross-contamination or external influences.

The two climate cells enable Gitzels to significantly expand their services.
