Florensis wanted to determine the optimal growing conditions for growing Lysianthus. After successful tests in a mobile climate chamber of Green Simplicity, this small-scale vertical farm followed. Here Florensis is now testing the results on a small production scale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florensis is an internationally operating breeding company and producer of young plants for ornamental horticulture, including Lysanthus. This is a sensitive crop for which the climate and light conditions are important, especially during the growth phase. After they had investigated the best cultivation conditions in a climate chamber of Green Simplicity, they wanted to realize these insights on a small scale in a vertical farm. Our solution:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For Florensis we installed a small-scale vertical farm. This system consists of two layers with eight containers each, one of the smallest vertical farms in the Green Simplicity range. Climate, LED lighting and irrigation are integrated in one compact system. The lift between the layers is operated manually, in keeping with the scale and purpose of this setup. The system offers maximum control without unnecessary complexity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Precise tuning per growth phase<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The climate and lighting system are precisely tuned to the crop, with adjusted settings for the start of germination and the final phase of cultivation. The irrigation boom works automatically based on the grower's wishes and is equipped with both a fine mist function and an ebb and flow installation. This allows the crop to be sufficiently irrigated even in the final phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
